Well I just got back from the Hampshire Baby & Toddler Show in Southampton. The show started very busily, and the large cruise centre terminal filled with prams, toddlers, expectant woman and friends, dads, husbands, partners and parents. Our stand drew lots of admiring glances, and wonderful comments and we spoke to lots of people...
The second annual Hampshire Baby and Toddler Exhibition takes place this weekend on the 2nd Octovber at the City Cruise Terminal. It runs from 10am to 3:30pm and should, based on last year, be an amazing event. We will of course be attending again and will be in our regular position at stand B12, close to the refreshments area.
Winchester Guildhall was the central venue for this evenings pre-wedding shoot with Becky and Ian. Although they will be getting married at a local church Becky and Ian will be going to Winchester Guildhall for their wedding reception and this was the natural place to do their pre-wedding shoot.
Rhinefield House was the location for todays pre-wedding shoot with Rosie and Scott who are getting married there later in the year.
We spent yesterday on location for a portrait session at out local Hampshire beach here at Hill Head with a lovely family. Shooting a mixture of natural moments as the family played in the sand and explored and then some relaxed portraits as the sun gently dipped casting a warm glow across the stones.
A location portrait session beckoned this morning and a trip to Holly Hill in Sarisbury Green, Hampshire where I met up with a couple of related families to photograph their children for a birthday present for their grandmother
Today I met up with a group of great photographer friends at a property in London for a location fashion shoot. I have worked with a model on location before but predominately in natural light, and this was an excellent opportunity to try some things out as well as work with a very experienced model.
I met up with Sally and Mark at Hillier Gardens in Romsey earlier today for their pre-wedding shoot. The gardens have a big connection with Mark’s family and it was lovely to take some photographs in a place they knew so well.
Today we photographed some local Stubbington, Fareham children at their pre-school. I love shooting portraits on location and so we followed the kids outside into the garden area and with parents, and organisers assistance captured some natural candid portraits and also some semi-posed or at least positioned portraits in the shaded areas of the garden.
Today we were on the beach for low tide early morning for a family photographic session here on the outskirts of Fareham.
Tonight I visited a local family for a portrait session. One of the daughters was about to attend her first communion at the local Roman Catholic church and having photographed the elder daughter some 2-3 years ago I was returning to document this important day.
Tonight I photographed the pre-wedding shoot for Joanna and Adam who are having their wedding at one of my favourite local Hampshire wedding venues; New Place in Shedfield.
Yesterday evening was the pre-wedding shoot for Kirsty and Marco who are getting married this summer. We met at the Potters Heron in a warm evening with some lovely soft light and spent some time in the garden and interior of this hotel and bar in the small village of Ampfield, Hampshire taking some images.
Yesterday was our first pre-wedding shoot of the year and the amazing Haw frost helped to blow away the Christmas cobwebs as we prepare for another busy Hampshire wedding photography season. Andrea and Dale are getting married at Langrish House later in the Spring and we’ll be hoping for some lovely weather and warmth at this lovely country house hotel.
