This contemporary panoramic matted album features cedar timber wood covers and a distressed mocca leather spine with white leaves.

The book tells the story of their wedding from hair and make-up early in the morning through to the first dance, and live band playing in the marquee at Marwell. Many of the page designs also feature in the display album which is held at Marwell by the wedding team and which can be viewed on our website as well.

I started with Rachel, her mum, and her bridesmaids who were getting ready at a nearby hotel capturing some of the details and preparations as well as getting to know Jo and Claire – bridesmaids for the day. The it was on to Thorney Island to the church to meet the padre and get some images of Garry and the boys and the guests arriving.

After the lovely ceremony we made our way out to the shade afforded by some trees and captured the family groups as well as spending some time alone with Rachel and Garry in some incredible light getting some more relaxed images before leaving for the reception, the wedding breakfast with very moving and fun speeches.

With the speeches concluded it was time for the first dance, and then a Polish wedding tradition with Rachel having her veil removed and donning an apron surrounded by her mum, grandmother and the other female guests. Finally a ceilidah band struck up and every one danced the evening away.

Having travelled down from Leeds that afternoon to visit family I decided to make the short journey to see them and hand over their wedding album personally. The album is a 15×12″ contemporary matted book made in Australia and features a graphite metal cover with a distressed mocca leather spine and white leaves. The album itself is visually stunning and Katy and Rob made a great choice in selecting the materials from our extensive range of leathers, metals and woods. Of course the images inside the album tell a wonderful story of their day and Rob remarked how much it brought back the memories he has of his wedding.

Another wonderfully sunny, bright and warm day perfect for a wedding. I met up with Sarah, her mum, and bridesmaids at the Trooper Inn at Froxfield near Petersfield where Sarah was getting ready and got some details of her dress, jewellery, perfume, shoes and tiara as well as the preparations, hair and make-up. It was also an excellent opportunity to get to meet Susan, Sarah and Eliza and to get to know them a little.

On arrival at the barn I quickly captured the guys, and the guests arriving before Sarah pulled up in a Morgan driven by her father from which she headed off to see the registrars before processing across the courtyard to the barn and then down the aisle towards Tom who was patiently waiting. The ceremony was lovely and they were soon married and out into the sunshine again for drinks and canapes.

With a group shot and some formal photographs out of the way everyone mingled in the courtyard before being called in for speeches, followed by a very tasty hog roast cooked by the caterers – The Barbeque and Banqueting Chef.

I managed then to get a few more minutes with Sarah and Tom in the softer evening light, and wider expanses of shade around the side of the manor house on the impressive lawn and was able to use the dovecote as a feature in some of the images.

Finally the Magic Tones struck up and Sarah and Tom had their first dance and then danced the night away with their guests as I said my goodbyes.

I started at the Marwell Hotel bumping into Stuart on my way down to see Danni and photographer her preparations, the dress, shoes and jewellery as well as to meet and get to know the bridesmaids and her family. From then on it was up to Marwell Hall and some images of the guys and guests before Danni arrived on the road train and onto the ceremony. Everyone then chilled out on the rear lawn eating ice creams, canapes and cooling down with a drink and some music from the string quartet while we did the family groups and then on to feed the lemurs.

Danni and Stu then had time to relax with their guests on the lawn before the wedding breakfast after which followed a pun-laden father-of-the-brides speech and a moving tribute from the best-man, Stu’s brother Paul. Hula Groove provided the evenings music and I left as the dancing got into full swing with my job done, leaving the guests to enjoy themselves.

Telling the story of the day in both colour and black and white photographs looking though the album instantly brought back detailed memories of the day and the couple commented on the clarity and quality of the prints which we have printed in one of the best print labs in the world down in Australia.

We always recommend that our couples consider having a professionally designed and printed album – there really isn’t any comparison and whilst this couple also have the hi-resolution digital files this book will be a central showcase for family and friends.

We are very familiar with New Place as a wedding venue and despite some heavy rain for most of the day their album really doesn’t reflect the conditions with careful use of some of the hotels features, and some juggling of the schedule for the day to ensure we got the group shot of everyone on the main set of steps at the house.

Our wedding photography will still be available from the same starting price which we believe is extremely competitive for the quality of the photography, our album design skills, and the products and service which make up our offering. We also acknowledge that whilst not for everyones budget that this will be very accessible to the bride and groom who recognise the investment they are making in a product which will not only outlast the wedding day itself but for a lifetime – and become and heirloom for their families.

From the 1st of June 2010 all enquiries for 2011 and 2012 weddings will receive the new packages and prices. All of our existing 2011 bookings, and any bookings made before the 31st May 2010 will have the current 2010 prices honoured and locked into their package which will result in some significant savings depending on the products selected.

If you are thinking about booking a wedding photographer for your 2011 wedding then now is the time to get in contact with us. We are booking 2011 dates already and some of the key summer dates are already going. As before a £300 booking fee secures your dates, and locks in your pricing and the balance of the package is not payable until 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.

The venue is right on the water, next to the cruise terminal and just across the road from the Titanic museum, close to the historic walls of Southampton and some lovely period architecture.

The pier has an amazing domed second story room which has been licenced for ceremonies and features a distinctive contemporary chandelier and a small area of glass floor. The venue is of course a restaurant as well and can seat a large number of people for both Western and Asian food.

Family photographs could be taken in the enclosed lower patio area or on the open terrace which looks out to the water – also fantastic for a drinks reception on a balmy summers day. Alternatively you could head out onto the large public area, and time relaxed portraits of the bride and groom would work around the property as well as heading over the road to some of the historic features.
