I’m firmly of the belief that it is critical for professional photographers to shoot personal photographic projects. I’m not in anyway suggesting that they need to be charitable, life-changing, in South-America, only in Black-and-White, or using some vintage or toy camera. Just that they need to be divorced from an immediate or existing client, direct payment, and on the terms of the photographer within the reasonable constraints of the subject matter/sponsor.

It’s that time of year again, and whilst we are just finishing off the retouching of a newborn portrait session, and preparing a gallery for the family, it won’t be long before we close the studio for the holiday period. The studio will be closed from Christmas Eve through to the 3rd January 2012 after which we will be open again for business. During this time we won’t be taking any appointments, callers, and it is likely that any phone calls will route to the answerphone. Please do leave a message !
We are conscious of the fact that it has been about a month since we last posted anything on the blog. That’s a pretty long time for Meonshore Studios to be quiet and we didn’t want you to be worried !
An update on our wedding photography for 2011, as we close the books on album based collections and have a very limited number of spaces left for weddings

We are pleased to announce that we will be showcasing our wedding photography at Marwell Hall during their wedding fair this coming Sunday. As a recommended photographer we will be showing our display album, also used by Marwell Hall themselves, containing three beautiful weddings in the Hall and photographs from around the hall, grounds,...

With the long panoramic shape it fits perfectly over furniture or equally sits well on a wall on its own. Our...
With our current level of bookings as of 23rd December we now have limited availability for weddings in 2011. If you would like to be one of our beautiful brides or fantastic couples then we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible to enquire if your date is currently available.
Well with only a couple of days to go before Christmas Day it is worth just posting that the studio will be closed from Friday 24th December through to the 9th January 2011 for any appointments, viewings, meetings and shoots.
The draw for the competition which we ran on our stand at the Hampshire Baby and Toddler Exhibition on the 12th November has taken place. EW from Southampton was the winner drawn out of the hat and she wins a newborn portrait session and a £50 credit towards any purchases.

Yesterday was the Hampshire Baby and Toddler Show at the City Cruise Terminal in Southampton – and what a show. We were situated on Stand B8 showcasing our fine art newborn baby photography and didn’t really stop talking to mums, dads and parents-to-be all day.I just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone that stopped at the stand and spoke about the images they saw, and also the quality of the photography and our products.
Hard to believe that I need to start posting about Christmas but for our wedding album supplier over in Australia now is the time of the year we get notification of their key dates.
