Powdermills Hotel Battle Wedding: Helen and Graham

Friday’s wedding was in East Sussex with the ceremony at St Peter’s in Bexhill and the wedding reception at Powdermills Hotel in Battle. Helen and Graham had been referred to me by two of my previous brides who both work with Graham.

I started in Cooden Beach with Helen at her parents house for getting ready, and met up with her brothers who were ushers on the day, her sister Nichola and fiancee Guy and her two other bridesmaids and of course her mum and dad. Once everyone was dressed we got a formal group in their living room lit naturally with light streaming in through large windows.

I left Helen and got to the church in time to see Graham and the other groomsmen and to get the low down from the church warden before capturing the arrival of the bridemaids and then Helen. A beautiful service then followed in the church that Helen’s parents had been married in 37 years earlier, and which Nichola will get married in next year.

We got some formal groups at the church door, followed by confetti just outside of the church grounds before leaving for the very lovely Powdermills Hotel a short distance away. The drinks reception allowed me to get lots of natural images of the guests and bridal party and then we completed Helen and Graham’s list of family and friends groups before going in for a cake cutting and dinner.

Speeches followed and then I borrowed Helen and Graham for 10 minutes as the light faded for some relaxed portraits of the two of them before the came back in for their first dance and the live band.

Here are some of the images from the day….
