Well with only a couple of days to go before Christmas Day it is worth just posting that the studio will be closed from Friday 24th December through to the 9th January 2011 for any appointments, viewings, meetings and shoots.
Saturday saw our 5th year as the official photographers at the Portsmouth Hospital Trust Ball held in the Guildhall, Portsmouth. In excess of 400 guests attended an evening of food, music and dancing and we took formal portraits during the evening with printing on-site for the guests to purchase
Every Christmas we know that many of our portrait clients are looking to give gifts to the their families of the images we have taken. We do sell a lot of desk framed prints for grandparents presents; ideal for a sideboard, mantlepiece, piano or desk.
Yesterday I spent the afternoon with Libby & Richard at their Rhinefield House winter wedding. This was an intimate wedding with 40 guests based entirely at probably my favourite wedding venue in Hampshire.
Yesterday I photographed the lovely wedding of Fiona and Rory who’s ceremony took place at St Ann’s in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and then onto the reception at the Tithe Barn, Ditcham. This naval wedding was also a Scottish wedding and the wedding party comprised of a strong contingent of both naval uniforms and kilted gentlemen.

Another newborn portrait in amongst some of the children we have been photographing in the run up to Christmas. In fact we have photographed this little girls brother this week as well, and will be showing some images from that session also.
This morning we had another portrait session with a newborn baby here at our studio in Hampshire to create some wonderful fine art images.
Today’s little boy was ten days old and his mum and dad are previous clients of ours, having photographed their wedding about three years ago. I have seen them at other weddings we have photographed where they were guests and kept in touch and of course I was delighted to hear that they were looking to have their newborn baby photographed when born.
The draw for the competition which we ran on our stand at the Hampshire Baby and Toddler Exhibition on the 12th November has taken place. EW from Southampton was the winner drawn out of the hat and she wins a newborn portrait session and a £50 credit towards any purchases.
Yesterday was the Hampshire Baby and Toddler Show at the City Cruise Terminal in Southampton – and what a show. We were situated on Stand B8 showcasing our fine art newborn baby photography and didn’t really stop talking to mums, dads and parents-to-be all day.I just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone that stopped at the stand and spoke about the images they saw, and also the quality of the photography and our products.
On Saturday 13th November we will be exhibiting our newborn baby photography on stand B8 at the Hampshire Baby & Toddler Exhibition. This show is being held at the City Cruise Terminal in Southampton and is open between 10:30am and 4pm. Our feature stand will be showcasing our fine art newborn baby photographs
A stunning canvas wrap arrived this week for one of our newborn baby portrait clients from a recent photographic session. This one is 26″ x 18″ and a deep 1.75″ wrap. It certainly looks good on our sample wall, and I know that it will take pride of place in our clients house
This mornings portrait sitting here at our Hampshire studio was for a little three week old baby boy who mum had brought him in for some newborn baby photography. Mum found us via another parent who has used our portrait photography services in the past. A little restless to start with this little boy soon settled in our warm studio environment and after this cheeky one-eyed look back at me drifted off enabling some of our signature newborn photography.
This morning we had a newborn portrait session in our Hampshire studio. This little man arrived early a few weeks premature but at three weeks old was a healthy weight and size, and still lovely and sleepy and ready for his photography session after a feed.
