I received my first cover image on a wedding magazine with an image from the “hot walls” and so I was really pleased to be able to take Leanne and Ting down to old Portsmouth for an engagement shoot yesterday and to take a walk around the area encompassing the garrison church, square tower, and towards the historic dockyard.
Early on the Sunday morning following the wet and windy wedding of Jo and Adam the day before the place was deserted which allowed us to explore pretty much everywhere without disturbance. After a short while both Leanne and Ting warmed up to being photographed and I got some lovely images for them.
I love the textures of the stonework and the great architectural features, a really great location and some lovely light on the day.
Here are some of the images.

This area above the hot walls was somewhere new for me in Old Portsmouth having not photographed in this series of archways before

I loved the salmon doors on the Square tower, itself a lovely intimate wedding venue
