Yesterdays wedding saw us stay in Hampshire and travel the short distance to Southampton for a wedding at St Christopher’s Church and then on to the lovely Chilworth Manor. Karen and Tim’s wedding was a word of mouth referral from another Hampshire wedding we did in October 2007 where Karen was an evening guest. It was lovely to see some familiar faces as well as to meet some new people.
Starting at the church today and ending later after the dancing we had another good day with a mixture of cool breeezes and bright weather, although Chilworth kindly provides many shaded areas. Karen looked stunning and arrived in a rare Bentley from the Romsey Carriage Company, flanked by a Rolls Royce and a Riley wedding car for the bridesmaids.
After an entertaining ceremony which I was allowed to freely document by the very friendly Vicar Jeff, and a short trip to Chilworth, we quickly completed the family photographs before heading to the room where dinner was served. The speeches were then followed by some time alone with Karen and Tim using the lovely features of the gardens; columns, stone steps and seating before settling into the evening reception and a first dance again captured unobtrusively.
