This morning saw us spend some time with one of our June couples Fiona and Rob who will be getting married at Marwell Hall in the zoo and then onto the nearby Marwell hotel for their reception.
As with all of our pre-wedding shoots we use the time to get to know our couples more, their personalities, plans for the day, to see how they photograph and also to make sure we fine tune our coverage and approach to get the very best from their wedding day. Of course we also aim to get some stunning pre-wedding/engagement images from the session as well.
As a Hampshire wedding photographer I’m very keen to work at local Hampshire venues as well as further afield and Marwell is a venue I know really well. Not only am I one of the recommended photographers here, but I’m an annual pass holder as well and visit the zoo regularly with the family as well as to photograph the wildlife. As such I know the place inside out which is a real benefit when it comes to covering a wedding there.
Fiona and Rob were superb and on one of the hottest days of the year so far finding good quality shade and light was a priority. Using the hall and surrounding architecture as backdrops we got some great images, and then walked back down to the hotel for a few more images amongst the Easter Island replica heads and then in for a refreshing drink and walk-though of the details for the day.
I’m really looking forward to covering their wedding in early June, and here are some images from the day.
